Your comfort is our top propriety. To ensure everything is ready when you arrive, our apartments receive a delivery of fresh linens, comforters and towels for your booking.

Ready to have a taste of the Parisian lifestyle? Come stay on rue Francois Miron, a street whose Parisian charm is indisputable! This gem of an apartment has just been completely renovated and is located on the 6th and top floor of the building (no elevator). Views of Paris’s rooftops abound through the four windows in the apartment, providing plenty of light. You can even see the top of the Pompidou Centre and the Hotel de Ville! The immediate neighborhood is a playground for travelers, with everything you might want from culinary treats, shopping and the river Seine at your doorstep. You’ll enjoy free WiFi and international calling to many countries (including US, Australia, Western Europe & Israel), a laptop computer and iPad/iPhone/iPod docks to help keep you connected! The apartment is a one-bedroom of approximately 35 meters and can sleep up to 4 guests, with a double bed in the master bedroom and a high-quality sofabed in the living room. Please read on for further details about the apartment.

LIVING ROOM: The living room area is the main living space in the apartment. We have tried to think of everything you might need on your vacation, including WiFi; a telephone with free international calling to many destinations: flat-screen TV with a few English news channels; a sofa which opens up into a high-quality sofabed suitable for up to two adults; a selection of guidebooks about Paris; and a stereo system with iPhone/iPod charger. A laptop computer and iPad/iPhone dock are located in the bedroom.

KITCHEN AREA: The kitchen area is in the main living area of the apartment. You have a refrigerator with a small freezer area, a microwave with grill function, a ventilation hood with light, a two-burner induction stovetop, coffee maker and hot water kettle. The kitchen pantry is stocked with basic cooking supplies like salt, pepper, oil & vinegar as well as coffee, tea and sugar. You will find cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishes and silverware in the cabinet opposite the kitchen area. You also have a clothes washer with a dryer functions so you can take care of all of your laundry needs without leaving the apartment! The iron and ironing board are also stored in the kitchen area.

DINING AREA: We call this little area « The Bistro » – it’s your own little private dining area overlooking the rooftops of Paris! The bistro has seating for four guests and windows all around! Enjoy a meal or a glass of wine while you watch the sun set over Paris, or enjoy a sunny morning with your croissants and coffee.

BEDROOM: The bedroom is separated from the main room of the apartment by two French doors. The bed is double bed, suitable for two adults, and the bedroom is on the courtyard side of the building and on the top floor, so it’s generally very quiet. There a small closet with an area for hanging clothes and shelves next to the bed, and a writing desk by the window, complete with an Asus Netbook Laptop and an iPhone/iPad/iPod charging dock for guest use.

BATHROOM: The apartment has a full bathroom which includes a toilet, sink/vanity area and a shower stall. The bathroom is located off the main living area and accessible to all guests, even with the sofabed open. We have provided a hair dryer and flat iron for guest use, as well as soap and shampoo.

APARTMENT ACCESS: The apartment is situated on the top floor (6th floor) on the courtyard side of the building, and the apartment building has two coded security doors. The apartment building has no elevator, but we can arrange for help with your luggage upon your arrival. Many buildings in the Marais neighborhood do not have elevators because the buildings are ancient and the staircase areas are too narrow for the addition of an elevator. We like to think of taking the stairs as a way to work off all those irresistible Parisian pastries!

NEIGHBORHOOD: Everything is at your footsteps, with multiple restaurants on the same block as the apartment! A beautiful boulangerie is just on the corner with sweet delights and great sandwiches for lunch, too! A Monoprix supermarket and Metro station St. Paul is just around the corner. The Marais neighborhood offers tons of trendy boutiques, the Picasso Museum, the Carnavalet (History of Paris) Museum, as well as many important sites for the Jewish community, including the Shoa Memorial (Holocaust Memorial Museum) and History of Judaism Museum.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope to welcome you to Paris and to rue Francois Miron!

Centerally located apartment was perfect for our visit
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Had a great stay here in Marais. Ruben and Sofia were super responsive. The apartment was as described. It has a nice view out over the rooftops of apartments in Paris. The metro was super close by and plenty of cafes, restaurants, and stores for groceries within walking distance. The walk up the 6 flights was great also. Definitely winded at the top but it was good exercise. The apartment was quiet and the neighbors were pleasant to us when we saw them. Oh and also able to walk to the Seine and Notre Dame within in minutes!!

Pleasant Stay in Paris
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Overall we had a pleasant stay and would consider returning upon another visit to the area.

The location is excellent. It’s a pleasant neighborhood with local shops, cafes, etc. within walking distance of sites as well as a grocery. The closest metro station is a short (max. 5 minutes) walk.

The building is quiet and neighbors courteous. The flat itself was clean and comfortable. The ceiling in the bedroom is a bit low and the common area’s floor is slanted. The bathroom is oddly situated, basically in the living room. None of these were a real issue for us, but just a heads up for future guests. It is on the 6th floor, so if you’re against walking, book somewhere else. Some people in my group had issues with the water temperature in the shower, moving from scalding to freezing. I’d recommend small adjustments and waiting a few moments, as the change seemed delayed. The shower is also quite small. I’m 6′, so bending to shave my legs was a feat. If you’re…rounder, you may have issues fitting. But then maybe you stopped viewing this rental once you saw 6 floors… Our largest real complaint was regarding the front door. There are two points of entry, the main door and through the bedroom. A prior guest apparently got the key stuck in the main door, so we had to exit and enter through the bedroom. The stairs to this entryway are a bit more perilous, especially with baggage. It was more of an annoyance than anything. Hopefully they’ve gotten this fixed and it’s a non-issue going forward.

The refrigerator, stove, washer/dryer, basic pots/pans, and coffee machine were all functional and in good condition. A starter supply of coffee was provided, as was detergent for the washer; both of which were appreciated. We were even left a welcome bottle of wine and sparkling water. Both the bed and sofa bed were comfortable. Linens were clean and plenty of towels available. The phone and TV worked. There were only a couple of English speaking channels (BBC, CNN, etc.), but as we were there to tour, not watch TV, it was sufficient.

Upon arrival we were met by Florence. She provided the key and gave us a tutorial on the apartment. We likely would have figured out everything, such as how to use a key and a remote, but it was nice for her to bother. We had no issues during our stay (or when booking), so we had no further contact with the rental management. Our security deposit was refunded in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

My daughter (13yo) and I stayed at the adorable apartment in Le Marais for 4 nights in late November. Quite simply, it was perfect for us! The location was excellent: we could walk practically everywhere, and if not, the metro is down the street. The small shops and wonderful restaurants in Le Marais are footsteps away, including the bakery next door to the apartment. We began every day there with a croissant and coffee/hot chocolate.  We often ended our day there as well, picking up a half-baguette to go along with our rotisserie chicken and salad (also purchased down the street at a vendor and the local grocery store). There is a farmer’s market twice a week just behind the apartment that is great, even in late November!
Within walking distance are so many Paris attractions: Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame cathedral, the Picasso museum and Place de Vosges. Around the corner are the Shoah Memorial and la Maison europeenne de la photographie, both with late night admissions. We were also able to walk to the Louvre and the Pompidou as well. Really, there is so much so close to the apartment!
The apartment itself is charming and exactly what we needed. While the stairs to the 6th floor apartment might be a challenge for some, we didn’t mind. And the bedroom and bed are not huge, but bigger than many hotel rooms in Paris! More than anything else, the apartment was quiet.  We slept so well. We didn’t use the TV but the internet connection was great and we took advantage of the kitchen which is well-stocked and easy to use. We were grateful for the coffee, wine and candy left for us! The bathroom is clean and modern, and very easy to use.
Our greeter, Florence, was delightful and showed us the apartment’s many features, as well as helping me to get initially acquainted with the neighbourhood. Lastly, Ruben’s recommendation of a car service was also excellent.
Next time in Paris we will stay here again. An excellent experience all around!

Wonderful Paris and Marais experience
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Our family (2 adults, 2 children) have stayed in the apartment for 9 days. The apartment is lovely, well equipped (excellent wi-fi, TV, laptop, coffee-maker & Expresso machine, books, dishes, all necessary equipment for cooking & and eating in), clean and although quite small we found it ideal for a tourist stay in Paris when you do not stay inside for a long-time daily but enjoy coming back to a well-arranged, stylish, truly Parisian accommodation. We appreciated the soft drinks, chocolates and a bottle of wine that were left in the fridge for our arrival. The bathroom/shower is clean and modern with good water pressure. We did not experience particular problems with the hot/cold water mix: you need to adjust it to desired temperature before stepping into the shower. The location is perfect: it is behind Rue de Rivoli, within few minutes walk from a Metro station, you can walk to Hotel de Ville, Centre Pompidou, Notre-Dame, Les Halles mall, stroll around all attractions and boutiques of charming Marais. There is a great bakery on the same street with the apartment and two supermarkets nearby. We also went twice to the Bastille market, which is only one metro station away. Selection of nearby restaurants, cafes and bars is amazing and can satisfy all tastes. Ms. Florence who met us in the apartment was nice and friendly; she answered our call later in the week and explained the process of of restarting the TV receiver.

VRBO

Took a little while to write this…..

Apartment was great, fantastic location, no issues what so ever….Deposit refunded within a week!!!!

Everything worked out great with this little apartment, the exchange went flawless, I was a little concerned about doing VRBO in Paris but did my research and it paid off, this apartment has many reviews and for the most part all are good, and should be…. I would not even hesitate to rent again from Ruben…..

Concerns brought up by other reviews…..
1. Stairs…….yep there are many stairs to get up to the apartment….if u have leg problems or walking problems this is not the place for you but neither is Paris probably…..
2. Bed, yep it is a Double size bed, it is the most comfortable I have slept in?…Nope, Is it a bad bed?…..Nope, it is a little hard but no major concerns……
3. Washer machine is small…..yep……but we were able to spend 2 weeks in Paris and only had a carry on for the plane ride…..it is nice to have no matter how big it is……
4. Small Apartment…..yep it is a little small but has everything u need, the bathroom is small also with only a corner shower enclosure…..IF u are a plus size person this will be an issue but so will the stairs I am guessing…..

Overall great place and is well priced for what u get……

“This was a wonderful « true Parisian Experience ». Communication with Rueben was excellent and Florence was a wonderful greeter, showing us both the apartment and a little mini orientation around the neighborhood. We had to deal with a piece of lost luggage and both Rueben and Florence went above and beyond to be helpful….Florence even came to the apartment to make sure we had received it! The apartment itself was very cozy and charming. Perfect for two adults and two children (teenagers) in our case. The location could not have been more perfect, right between two metro stops. The bakery at the corner is fantastic for breakfast, lunch or a light dinner. If you are there on a Saturday, be sure to visit the little market in the courtyard at the end of the street. Thank you Rueben and Flo, we had a wonderful time and will recommend your rentals!”

Cute Apartment in a Great Location

Ruben was there to meet my son and explained how everything worked, which was great. The Apartment is very nice, with everything you need..wifi, free calls home. We even did a little laundry. The bathroom was recently updated and the apt. was very clean. The location is fantastic, walking distance to Notre Dame, many restaurants, metro, cafes. We also felt very safe at the apartment with the security codes that are needed to get in. The only thing I would warn a little about are the stairs….and there are a lot. It was fine for us as we only really used them once day. Once we left in the morning we would not come back until late at night…too many sights to see! I would defiantly recommend this apartment.

TESTAMONIAL

We had the most amazing time in Paris staying in this apartment. Everything is at your doorstep…..a few blocks from the Seine where you can walk on either bank to several areas, shops, bistros and attractions (St. Germain de Pres, The Latin Quarter, The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, Isle de St. Louis, Isle de la Cite and so much more) ….. Bus #69 runs right down the street and the Metro is a five minute walk…….the Super Marche is right around the corner to pick up any necessary groceries…. a French Patisserie with fresh baguettes and pastries is a few buildings away…..it was all so perfect!!!!!
Ruben, the owner is so helpful and responds immediately to any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend using Citizen Limousine for transfers from the airport……the driver is so charming and very helpful also.
Our adventure in Paris started in this fantastic Parisian apartment!!!!!!

Cute Flat In An Excellent Location
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
First off the communication between Ruben and his staff was amazing. Emails and texts were returned very quickly and Ruben and his staff were very very helpful. The flat was exactly how it seems in the pictures and we loved it. Rubens assistant Jodie was there to greet up and answered all our questions upon arrival. We were close to so many little shops, attractions and restaurants. Staying here was central to everything we wanted to see and nothing was more than a walk away. Notre Dame is a short walk away and as well as the Metro. If youre feeling adventurous and want to rent a bike that is near by too. I would highly recommend this place. My wife and I value good customer service and Ruben and his staff were second to none. If we ever go back to Paris we will look this place up again

This was my second stay at this lovely apartment on rue Francois Miron and it was even better than the first time! I absolutely love this gem of an apartment! I am a single woman and feel very comfortable in the building and the delightful streets surrounding it. There is now air conditioning which was an awesome addition since the apartment is on the top floor. You truly cannot ask for a better home in Paris. Ruben was there to greet me again, and was as charming as the first time. I love that he always has the fridge stocked with cold water and wine – such a nice touch! The apartment was being cleaned when I arrived in the morning and was sparkling and perfect when I returned from lunch. Thank you very much, Ruben! I hope to come back again next year with friends!

Review #12302312 “Wonderful stay!”

Honestly, this was by the best stay I’ve had in Paris. Here is why: Ruben was downstairs and met me at my taxi upon arrival. He helped me with my luggage, up the stairs. Upon arrival to the apt, there is cold water, wine, chocolate and soda which was a hit with my kids. The view of the Parisian skyline from the window was absolutely perfect! There is an air conditioned unit, if you need it, which we did on a hot morning. The beds are comfortable and Ruben has everything you need if you forgotten it. Also there is no real need to leave the neighborhood as everything is at your disposal in the Marais district! There is an Italian restaurant in the building, a French restaurant across the street and next door. There is another amazing Italian restaurant located next to the Patisserie, where I had a special of pasta and clams, and the kids had lasagna and spaghetti bolognese. One of my favorite places was the Patisserie named Au Petit Versailles du Marie. It has the best croissants, the chocolate, almond and pistachio was my favorite. The desserts are to die for Tatum tarte and fruit crumble is yummy! And there is a staff member who understands bad French and speaks English. He is very kind and patient, and if you are fortunate, he will serve you up a coffee with a latte heart in the middle. This was a great start to my morning. Also Notre Dame is in walking distance to apt, since we had seen Notre Dame already on our previous stay in Paris, we visited the ancient city ruins in the Notre Dame Crypt. The metro station Saint Paul is also located within mins of the apt, with a grocery store located right next to it. There is so much to do and see right here in this neighborhood. There is lots of good shopping. Ruben was very helpful and accommodating and I’d reccomend this apt to anyone!

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful, homely apartment for ten days while visiting magical Paris in May 2015. We could not have made a better choice. Ruben, the manager was extremely organized answering all of our emails promptly and making sure we were well acclimatized in Paris. From the moment we stepped inside the door we were at home. The apartment was quiet, conveniently located, central to many sites, homely, has great views, great washing machine, excellent stove top, television, comfortable beds and is exceedingly well stocked. What more could you ask for such a fair price? Staying here saved us a bundle of money which we spent rambling around the streets of Paris, cruising down the river, buying a museum pass, and booking tours outside of the city. The wonderful Arena de Maras restaurant across the street served the best beef bougilion that we have eave tasted. It was to die for. We enjoyed walking up the steps to get to the apartment especially after a night out while eating in the incredible restaurants in Paris. The floor has a slight slant to it which added to the marvelous character of the unit. My eyes did play a few tricks on me after a night out in Paris and drinking too much wine. However, the wonderful, cozy bed was never too far away! We basically used the apartment for some cooking and sleeping. Otherwise, it was just a superb stepping stone to all the wonderful sights outside the door. Anyone looking for a great location, good price, well equipped apartment will not be disappointed with this choice. Thanks again Ruben and we will be coming back in the future. Your city and homely apartment are both truly MAGICAL!

Good day and first of all thank you Ruben for your great service and hospitality. Upon arrival to the apartment we were greeted by Ruben, a bottle of wine, coke and a box of chocolates. We needed them after climbing the 118 steps to our little home away from home. Ruben showed us everything about the apartment and I mentioned having a blender for my smoothies and he promptly went out and purchased one for the apartment.
The beds were fantastic and very comfortable (the pullout in the living room was super comfortable). Ruben was always there if needed and yet you totally had your own place and space. If you want a great little place with a true heritage Persian experience you will love this spot. Hot showers, clean bathroom, great beds, great views of the rooftops and large churches, and the place is quite as it does not face busy streets, quaint eating area and overall a fantastic place to stay………BUT DO BE PREPARED FOR THE 118 stairs…. They give you an excuse to eat all the pastries you want. Thanks again Ruben.

Review #11271851 “Perfect, Charming Flat in an Ideal Paris Location”

I spent hours online trying to find the perfect apartment for my traveling partner and myself. I did just that with this property. We were cheerfully greeted by the property owner, despite our running late with refreshments and hospitality. The apartment certainly has everything one would need to have a wonderful « home away from home » experience. Laundry facilities, A/C, modern bathroom, quaint kitchen, even quainter dining area and one of the more unique features of this apartment was a separate bedroom, which was important to us and not easily found on any of the apartment websites. The apartment itself is charming and homey, we certainly felt like Parisians during our stay. Situated in Le Marais with only a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, the location could not be any better. Metro stations were literally a 3 minute walk either to the left or the right. Paris was at our fingertips! The apartment is surrounded by charming bakeries, bars, cafes and restaurants. A true gem!

Review #10817112 “Excellent choice for single woman traveling alone”

I have never had a travel accommodations experience better than Ruben’s apartment. He met me at the apartment on my arrival and even helped me carry my 100 pound bag up 6 flights of stairs. The apartment was amazing, he has great attention to detail. It was a big plus to have a washer dryer and small kitchen in the apartment! His restaurant recommendations could not be beat, and I felt very safe during my entire stay. I didn’t know much about Paris neighborhoods before my trip, but I soon learned that the apartment is located in one of the most sought-after districts. As a woman traveling alone, I am very conscious of my security and choice of accommodations. I highly recommend any apartment managed by Reuben. I can’t wait to return!!

f you are looking for an amazing, adorable apartment in the heart of Paris, you have found it! My husband and I went to Paris for a wedding with another couple in November and we had a marvelous time. We were so happy to find that the location of this apartment was unbeatable! We were steps away from a bunch of incredible restaurants, bakeries, the metro, and even a grocery store. Location is everything when you are traveling and we couldn’t have picked a better place.

The apartment was super cute and fully stocked with a fridge and stove (which we didn’t really use because there were so many great restaurants around). My favorite thing was the washer/dryer! We used it twice and it was a life saver! The bathroom was updated and clean and it had a huge shower head that was impressive and relaxing. Both the pull out bed and the queen bed were very comfy. There was even a computer and an iphone charging dock which made it easy for us since we didn’t have to pull out our convertors. Even with four people, there was plenty of space and privacy since there were beautiful stained glass doors on the main bedroom. There was a cute little bistro area too that had a great view. Really everything in apartment was awesome and comfortable.

The cute apartment and amazing location would have been enough but there was so much more. Ruben was such a thoughtful host! We truly appreciate how accommodating he was! Our flight arrived earlier than expected and Ruben was so flexible and prepared when we arrived. He greeted us with such a friendly smile and even carried some of our over-sized luggage up the stairs. He showed us to the apartment and walked us through how to use the TV, appliances, etc. He even had soda, chocolates, and a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge. We really felt like we were in good hands, which was so comforting since we were far from home.

All in all, this was the perfect apartment and best location we could have asked for! RUBEN, thank you so much for playing a major part in what can only be described as an incredible vacation!

Review #10654063 “Living like a Parisian”

Thank you! We could not of asked for anything more, your friendly front door service, explanation of the apartment and the area around us was very helpful! Even helping us with our bags! Your an excellent host and you really put every effort in the make people feel welcome and comfortable. The bottle of wine was really appreciated! Our first stay in Paris was truly a memorable one, we loved our week stay right in the heart of the Les Marais area we loved the food options close by, the shopping precinct, train so close and of course the patisserie just on the corner. The unit had everything we need, a little view and had a comfortable bed and lovely clean modern bathroom. The atmosphere and furnishings of the apartment made our family of four (2 adults, 12yr & 15yr) a fun and memorable one. One we will share with others and hope to stay again one day! We even thank you for the stairs…. It worked off the pastries! Thanks Ruben….

This little apartment has it all in terms of amenities and location. I stayed here with my two friends for 10 days and I got the sofa bed. Ends up it was the most comfortable pull out sofa ever and I slept better here than at home. I looked forward to returning to this comfortable nook after long days of sightseeing and walking. Thanks, Ruben!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this apartment for two weeks with our friend Megan. The location is absolutely perfect and within walking distance of just about everything. As promised, Ruben’s assistant met us at our arrival with the keys and helped carry the luggage up the stairs. The apartment had plenty of room for the three of us. Although a lift would have been appreciated at times, you do get used to the stairs :-). Thank you, Ruben for sharing your apartment with us!!!

Review #10642188 “Your own place in Le Marais”

Dear Ruben,
We truly enjoyed our month (September 2014) at 19 rue François Miron. The apartment was delightful and had everything one could need. The sixth floor looked out over the rooftops and in the evening there was always a fresh breeze. The neighborhood was remarkably quiet. And Le Petit Versailles du Marais just steps away for the best croissants, etc. and Don Giovanni restaurant at the building’s entryway. With the St. Paul Métro (Line 1) just a block away, you can be anywhere in Paris in 20 minutes; bus connections are easily made from St. Paul Métro area; and, train connections are just minutes away..
And as a landlord, you couldn’t have been more helpful: you fixed the computer when I messed up the settings, you had wine, soda, and Snickers in the refrigerator and the cupboard stocked with essentials. Monoprix nearby is handy for food and other essentials. You met us at the apartment and showed how the appliances worked and gave us insights to Le Marais.
Recommendations we have for every visitor: Don’t miss Mamatton Monet museum. The Monet collection is phenomenal and in our opinion beats all other such collections. Or Musée de l’art et l’histoire du judaïsme, Musée de Carnavalet, Musée de Cluny (La Dame à la licorne tapestries), and Musée Nissam Comode. And for military history buffs: Musée de maréchel Leclerc et la liberation de Paris and Musée de Jean Moulin. One final recommendation: Le BHV (Le Marais) is the department store we Chicagoans miss: Marshall Field’s.
Staying at an apartment made us feel as though Le Marais was our neighborhood and each evening we came “home” to our place.
When we visit Paris again, we will want to stay at Chez Ruben!
Warmest regards,
Del & Sherry

Review #9012721 Perfect Vacation Rental

My family stayed here in July for 4 nights (first 4 nights of a 17 day vacation). The apartment is in a perfect location, spotless clean and Ruben was so easy to work with. The apartment is great for 3-4 people and having a kitchen and laundry was great. We loved feeling a part of the neighborhood and will definitely rent again. Ruben met us at the apartment upon our arrival. It was a warm day in Paris and Ruben had cold still and sparkling water waiting – along with a cold bottle of rose in the fridge. Perfect welcome after a long flight. Thanks to Ruben for being easy to work with and coordinate our stay over time differnces and long distance. Extrememly professional. We also appreciated that there was coffee, tea, sugar, and a few staples already in the apartment.

Review #8728007 great apartment!

This is an amazing apartment. The location is so great because it is within walking distance to everything and so close to the metronome too. Such a neat neighborhood! The apt has a little moveable ac unit which kept it cool if you needed it. But thee was also a nice breeze through the window. Ruben is a great host! We highly recommend.

This quaint apartment is an excellent base from which to explore Paris. It is centrally located to all the sights and very comfortable and convenient. Both the Metro and bus are just a few steps away. We are a family of four with two teenage girls and we did not feel cramped at all. The apartment is well equipped, and Ruben’s consideration in providing water, soft drinks and ice cream is a nice touch. There are numerous restaurants and bakeries nearby including the one that was voted the best baguette in Paris! The apartment was exactly as described and Ruben left out no detail both during the reservation and stay. He is extremely responsive and friendly, and everything was very smooth. He had excellent suggestions for restaurants, sights and for the taxi to catch an early morning flight. We would definitely recommend this to friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there in the future. Having said all that, there is one warning: it is located on the 5th floor (6th floor in US) and there is no elevator/lift. It is a good workout to burn off all the pastries, and it is OK if you are going to spend most of your day sightseeing. However, it is not recommended for families with small children or older folk, especially since you have to haul your luggage up and then down 6 flights of stairs.

  3. Review #8631696 Perfectly Parisian My daughters (ages 11 and 17) and I stayed here for two days before we headed to Normandy for the D-Day Ceremonies. We absolutely LOVED this adorable little flat! It was perfect for the 3 of us – a comfy full-size bed and a nice sofa bed, a small but very usable kitchen, which was stocked with dishes, silverware, pots, and even some essentials like coffee and tea. The apartment was immaculately clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers. There is even a washer/dryer available to use in the apartment – very nice for longer stays, I’m sure! What made this stay extra special, though, was the incredibly warm welcome we received from Ruben. He was at the flat when we arrived, explained everything in detail and even gave us bottled water, a bottle of wine, some bread and some ice cream to get us started! We felt quite pampered. I must also mention the location of this flat. It is in the best location – the Marais. The metro is a 2 minute walk from the front door. You can walk to Notre Dame in less than 10 minutes. There are fabulous restaurants every way you turn. The only warning I have to give is this: you will get a workout staying here. There are 147 (yes, we counted) ancient stairs to climb before you get to the top floor. So, pack lightly, because you won’t want to have to carry heavy bags up those stairs. This is not an apartment for the elderly or the disabled. With that said, we felt the stairs added to our stay. It was fun climbing them and thinking of all the hundreds of people over the years who had gone up and down those beautifully crafted stairs. So would we stay here again? Are you kidding? We are already planning our return trip!

  5. My wife and I had such a great time staying in the apartment for our honeymoon. Ruben is super nice and met us outside the building when we arrived with sparkling water and a bottle of wine! The apartment is cozy and has everything you will need, but the best part is it’s location. We walked pretty much everywhere and the neighborhood has so much to offer. Ruben gave us some great tips about nearby restaurants and he was spot on about everyone of them. If you are looking for a nice comfy apartment in a location close to great restaurants and easy access to all the sites this is the place for you. Thanks Ruben for everything!Parisian charm·       Guest Gerald·       Date of stay 01/20/14·       Review Submitted 02/10/14The apartment is a veritable Parisian delight. Top floor but the walk up is well rewarded (I am 60+ with a heart condition). Ruben, a terrific host, has made a top quality renovation. Everything is updated while keeping the charm of ancient Paris. Bright, airy, very peaceful. I love the ancient tile floor!! The location in the heart of the city is terrific. Museums, monuments, shopping are all within walking distance or a short Metro ride away. It would be wonderful to return with a friend…

  3. My husband and I stayed at this apartment for one month. We had a wonderful time in Paris and we really enjoyed the apartment. The location of the apartment is excellent, as it is located in the trendy Marais quarter and it is close the the island of Notre Dame. We always picked up our breakfast croissant and the baguette from the bakery just at the corner. We completely explored Paris by foot. Ruben was an excellent host, welcoming us warmly and showing us all the facilities of the apartment. The apartment is clean, charming and very comfortable and had everything we needing starting from the hairdryer, the washing machine and even a Laptop. We would definitely recommend this apartment!

  1. Dear Ruben, We enjoyed staying in your apartment very much. It is centrally located, and yet extremely quite. You also did a great job decorating it. We appreciate many amenities, and your kind gifts of chocolate and drinks. You are always very responsive for all of my inquiries. Thank you for recommending Gregory for the airport transfers. We will recommend your apartment to our friend without reservation.

Just returned from 4 nights at this apartment. I was with my 14 year old daughter and we were really pleased with our choice. The location was incredible, about a block away from the river and walking distance to many attractions. When we got lazy there was a metro station at the end of the block. A couple of doors down was a delicious bakery and we bought many meals there. We had a delicious dinner at a restaurant right across the street right beside a very nice wine store. We never had to go far to find a great meal. the apartment was updated and had more conveniences then we had hoped for. The washing machine is also a dryer so you put your laundry in and when you come home its all done, no need to flip it. It was clean and inviting. Ruben (the owner) met us there when we arrived and explained how to work everything and provided some drinks…We are already planning on going back again this year. It is on the top floor and the stairs are older (very attractive wood but not always even) so you need to be careful. It would not be a good choice for anyone who would find stairs challenging and you should probably be decently fit as it is a bit of a climb. We felt really secure as there are two locked doors that you go through to enter the building. Ruben recommended a car service which we used gong to the airport. This made everything stress free. Ruben was great and really wants his guests stay to be comfortable so he has thought of more details then other places I have stayed. He refunded our damage deposit right away (even though we broke something) thanks Ruben it was a great holiday!

My husband and I stayed in Ruben’s beautiful apartment during our vacation at the end of September,2013. Ruben met us at the apartment when we arrived in Paris to give us the keys and all the information we needed about the apartment. He had a bottle of wine and some very good croissants for us. Ruben’s apartment had everything we could possibly need with an updated bathroom and kitchen. He has some books on Paris and maps for touring. The apartment is located in a great neighborhood and it is just a short walk to a lot of the major attractions in Paris. There are some wonderful restaurants on the same street and an amazing bakery on the corner. The bed was comfortable at the end of a long day. Yes there are quite a few stairs to take up to the apartment but with the all of the food and pastries we ate during the day it was probably a good thing to have a little bit of extra exercise at the end of the day. We can’t wait to return to Paris and rent this apartment again or one of Ruben’s other properties. Thank You Ruben!

My family of four are more than happy for the great stay in Ruben’s apartment for our Paris trip. The apartment is super neat and has everything we could think about including a laundry machine. We received warm greeting by Ruben’s colleague Mats who not only provided detail description about the apartment and the surrounding areas but also bought ice-creams for my kids, my son reminds me not forget to thank Mats for the ice-cream! The great location makes us easy to visit many sites by walking, we enjoyed very much walking along the Seine river from the Musee of Louvre, and walk to Notre Dame after dinner. There are several restaurants on the street and many stores including supermarkets in 2-5 minutes walking distance. I am happy to deal with the owner/manager Ruben who answered all my questions/concerns in the emails. We will give him high credit for providing such a cozy place which is beyond our expectation, we feel safe, relax and be taken care of nicely. We will definitely go back in our next Paris trip and recommend it to my friends.

The apartment was ideally located, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. Ruben greeted us on arrival and was so friendly and helpful,he immediately made us feel at home and even gave my daughter a tub of ice-cream! It was really quiet, the advantage of being 6 floors up I guess, the sofa-bed was excellent and so easy to pull-out and fold away, the fridge was well stocked with water and there was coffee and sugar too; these little things make such a difference, particularly when you first arrive. The Marais area is delightful, we had some excellent food at restaurants just over the road from the apartment and it’s so close to the river so you can just walk to most of the major sites. All in all I don’t think we could’ve wished for a nicer place to stay for a few days and I can certainly recommend it.

This was a last-minute trip to Europe for me and I was so happy when I finally found this apartment! Ruben, the owner/manager, was absolutely great to deal with and was able to accommodate me for a short stay. What a wonderful gem of an apartment! He has thought of absolutely everything for this sweet small space! I am a single woman traveling alone and I was happy in that the apartment and neighborhood felt very safe. It was also comforting to know Ruben was on call for any questions or emergencies, even though I never needed to call. It was warm in Paris but I was surprised at how cool the apartment stayed, and I really didn’t need more than the fan provided in the apartment. The street the apartment is located on is just lovely, with shops and restaurants everywhere and a very friendly feel. The bakery on the corner is just to die for! The shop itself is beautiful, and the pastries taste as good as they look! Paris was beautiful in the sunshine and I was able to take a few evening strolls along the Seine – magic! I hope I will be able to return to this apartment for a longer visit to Paris in the future!

We (2 adults and kids at 9 and 13) just came back from a wonderful stay in Marais quarter in Paris. It is a small, very well designed and furnished apartment. It was just renovated – all freshly painted and equipped, very clean, with everything you need – and exactly as described in the listing. Has nice, comfortable queen bed in a separate room and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room, lots of air and light (It is a high floor). It is very quite facing the back of the buidling, and the street is quite as well with little traffic. The neighborhood is charming, probably one of the best in Paris with everything you need footsteps away (restaurants, bakeries, metro station, supermarket, produce stores, and more and more…) – very close to the city hall, to Ile st. Louis, Notre Dame Cathedral. The Boulangerie at the corner of the street just won the 4th best baguette in Paris, and it’s to die for (all pastries are great). The apartment is perfect for couples, group of friends (up to 4 people) or families with one or two kids. I highly recommend it! Ruben (the owner) is super nice – I very much enjoyed dealing with him.

Dear Ruben, The apartment was such a charming addition to our Paris visit. We, my wife and two kids, loved coming back after a long day in the city and recharge for the next day. You’ve done a splendid job in turning it into a welcoming home away from home. Working with you has been a great pleasure and I would love to recommend your services to anyone visiting Paris. On top of that, this apartment is located in such a great spot – nice street and one of the most charming neighborhoods in Paris. Thank you and Shalom! Udi (entered from apartment guestbook)

Dear Ruben, We have very much enjoyed your apartment in the heart of the Marais. Thought I’ve been to Paris many times, I never explored or stayed in this area and it has proved to be a wonderful base for day trips, for hanging out, for shopping, for eating – it just feels Parisian! And funnily enough, we enjoyed our climb to the top floor at the end of each day! We would happily recommend your Marais apartment and your services. Thanks, Ruben!
